Paul Margocsy

Paul Margocsy is internationally recognized as one of Australia's best wildlife artists. Born 1945, he drew from an early age. He was painting murals by 1974 and by 1978 had made wildlife art his specialty.

He became a member of “The Wildlife Art Society of Australasia ” in 1985. In 1991 he was commissioned by Australia Post to paint a stamp issue on waterbirds. In 1994, The United Nations commissioned him to paint an endangered species series. Paul exhibits regularly in the United States. He was the only Australian artist to be chosen for two consecutive years to exhibit in the highly acclaimed Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, “Birds in Art” Exhibition in America (only three Australians have been chosen in 20 years). He has also had success with solo exhibitions in Japan, Singapore and Britain.
