Sylvia Hatzon
Sylvia was born in Sydney were she spent her early childhood in the Inner City and Eastern Suburbs.
She later moved to the St.George area and completed her schooling in 1982, that’s where she acquired
her first taste for art and photography.
Recently, she moved to the Sutherland Shire with her young family. Sylvia’s interests in arts extend
to music, drama and theatre where she was involved in some musicals with The Rockdale and Sutherland
Shire Musical Society Companies.
Sylvia and her family travel to the Sunshine Coast and spend time at their property on Koro Island,
Fiji where she is inspired by the tropical and earthy colours of the natural landscapes. Back home
she gathers her influences and ideas from district views and the relaxed lifestyle of the Southern Suburbs.
Using Acrylics and mixed mediums on canvas she brings her own simple, clean blending brush strokes creating
and portraying images in her own unique style that is new and refreshing. Her works can be interpreted as
modern abstract contemporary.
